Welcome to Fir Farm
At Fir Farm, we produce delicious, nutrient rich meat from 100% grass fed cattle and sheep as well as from pigs and poultry reared on home grown, organic feed. We are committed to working in harmony with nature using sustainable and organic farming methods. We sell our produce to local people who want to know where their produce comes from and to benefit from buying direct.
The starting point is to build and maintain the health of our soil which enables us to deliver sustainable farmed food. Our animals are cared for and nurtured in a way that also enriches their and our environment.
Our meat is available to buy on our website and can be delivered to you locally or collected directly from the farm. Come and find out more about the story behind the food when you collect.

Did you know?
There are considerable benefits of native breeds of livestock adapted to their local environment and growing conditions. We believe the best (and healthiest) meat comes from native breeds. Our Herefords spend their time grazing a diverse mix of plants, moving across the farm, helping to regenerate our soils. They move onto fresh grass every day for as long as possible during the year. As ruminants, they are designed to graze forage and convert that forage into protein without consuming any grain. When these animals are fed a forage only diet they provide much healthier meat for the consumer. Ruminants raised this way have been shown to contain higher levels of omega 3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acids, beta-carotene and vitamin E delivering a range of health benefits to the consumer.
